I had a very disappointing experience from start to (no) finish. My emailed request for a quote took two attempts before anyone even contacted me. I first tried in July, then again in September, when I finally received a reply.Andrew Abernathy came out to quote me and got the quote back to me the same day. Shortly thereafter, everything fell apart. We applied for financing through the company they contract with, GreenSky. I advised Andrew of this and we exchanged numerous emails about the financing process. Suddenly I received a GreenSky loan request for more money than our quote. I asked Andrew about this discrepancy and he told me there is a 3% fee for financing and that he "forgot" to put this in my quote. Interestingly, he also "forgot' to mention this fee until I caught it and asked, despite frequent communication about the loan. I decided to eat this fee (that I don't really have to, it should have been disclosed upfront and certainly within the quote) and move forward anyway. We were approved for our loan and were waiting for the next phase - HOA.I had to obtain HOA approval for the work, which he knew from the start. The HOA ultimately approved only half of the work we wanted to do, but both projects were substantial (an additional parking pad and an enormous back patio). Upon receiving the response from the HOA, I immediately reached out to Andrew for a revised quote. Three days later he replied with an ASTRONOMICAL quote revision. The cost of the concrete work increased from $607 per yard to $740 per yard. I replied to this revised quote asking why it had increased so much, and he completely ignored me. To this day he has never replied. So now I have wasted 3 months of my time on this company and have a hard credit inquiry and new line of credit that I can not use. I find their business practices to be shady and dishonest, and I do not recommend doing business with this company at all.The one bright spot here was my assigned project manager. He was very kind and communicated well. It was unfortunate that the salesman ruined it for everyone.I have since obtained quotes from competitors, and all of them were willing to: 1. quote each item separately from the start, 2. honor the separate pricing even if the HOA approved only half of the work, and 3. accurately disclose any/all fees upfront. And none of the quotes I received were $740 per yard. That's insane.
